Definition: polypropylene high strength filament is a kind of polypropylene as the main raw material, through the special spinning process and processing technology made of high strength, high wear resistance and other properties of synthetic fiber.

High strength: the breaking strength is high, the strength is generally greater than 8g/d, and it has higher tensile strength and impact resistance than ordinary polypropylene fiber, and can withstand greater tension and external force.


Chemical resistance: It has good tolerance to acid, alkali and other chemical substances, and can maintain stable performance in different chemical environments, and is not easy to be damaged by corrosion.


Light weight: smaller density, light weight, easy to transport, storage and use, while in some applications can reduce the overall weight burden.

Production technology


Raw material preparation: The selection of suitable polypropylene resin, requiring its melt flow index, molecular weight distribution and other indicators to meet the production requirements, and sometimes add a small amount of high-density polyethylene and cooling masterbatch and other additives to improve the performance of raw materials.


Melt extrusion: The pre-treated raw material is added to the screw extrusion machine, and the raw material is melted and mixed evenly by heating and rotating extrusion of the screw to form a uniform polymer melt. The diameter ratio of screw extrusion is generally larger to ensure that the material is fully plasticized and mixed in the screw.


Spinning molding: The molten polymer melt is filtered through the melt, enters the spinning box, precisely controls the flow of the melt through the metering pump, and then ejects from the spinneret hole of the spinning component with a large length-to-diameter ratio to form a filament-like primary fiber.


Cooling and curing: the primary fiber ejected from the spinneret hole immediately enters the cooling area, and the fiber is cooled and cured quickly through the low-temperature flash cooling and blowing process to form a fiber with a certain strength and shape.


Draft twist: the cooled fiber wire is stretched by a drafting device to further improve the strength and orientation of the fiber, and then twisted as needed to form polypropylene high-strength yarn.


Application field


Safety protective equipment: used for the production of safety nets, safety belts, lifting belts, etc., its high strength and wear resistance can effectively ensure the safety of personnel and objects.


Packaging materials: can be made into container bags, woven bags and other packaging materials, used for packaging cement, fertilizer, food and other heavy objects, can withstand large weight and not easy to break.
